You can gain a significant speed boost at the start of each race by starting in a higher gear at the correct RPM, in earlier races you're able to get in front of AI cars which are set to accelerate away from you at higher than normal speeds. If you predict where the AI cars will be you can get them to push you along at speeds above your cars limit!
