On occasion, I joke about turning the sun off with a switch, like one would with a light bulb. Didn't think that it would be a legitimate threat in Rimworld: we got the Unusual Darkness event, and had the entire map go dark, minus where we had lights. And good thing we had that steel vein in the freezer: it was the only way we could have gone out for those strange Nocoliths. Though the creatures who loved these things didn't take too kindly to me attacking them.
