Rise of the Ronin - Matthew Perry boss fight
0This Rise of the Ronin game guide video shows the boss battle with Matthew Perry. This boss appears during the Infiltrating the Black Ship main quest (part of the prologue).
This boss battle is also a tutorial about dealing with enemy martial skills - the game warns about them using the red aura. You can either dodge the red attack or try to use Counterspark to deflect it, but it needs to be perfectly timed.
Perry relies mostly on melee weapon attacks, but he can also shoot from afar - you can dodge or use a Counterspark on the projectile and if you're successful your weapon will get a positive burning state for a short while.
There are red explosive barrels in the area - you can grab them with the grappling hook and you can throw them at the boss inflicting fire damage.
Don't forget to heal and to switch characters when there's a good opportunity to achieve something from it (like to attack the boss from the back).
Look for opportunites to score critical on the boss (red icon) and you'll win the fight faster than normal.
