As much as I was a Nintendo kid growing up, I did also own my fair share of Sega products as well. In fact, I was the only person I knew of at school who had both the Sega Mega CD and 32X attachments for their Mega Drive. As much as I enjoyed Sega's 16-bit system, I wasn't a big fan of the Mega CD and 32X. With that said, I did have my favourite games for those add-ons and one of the highlights for me was the FMV game, Road Avenger (also know as Road Blaster in some territories). An incredibly fun interactive animation movie which bares a passing similarity to the iconic post-apocalyptic movie series, Mad Max, in which it tells a story of a 'Road Warrior' who sets out in his high speed racing car to exact revenge on a gang of road thugs who took the life of his new bride. Most FMV games on the Mega CD are not well remembered (and with good reason) but Road Avenger is definitely the stand out for me. This is a cover of the game's intro theme that plays during the opening cinematic. A very infectious and cheesy rock ballad performed by Japanese rock band, Jaywalk (known as J-Walk during the recording of this song). I hope you enjoy and have a fantastic day...
