Road Blaster FX / Road Avenger Stage Nine And Ending Video
Road Blaster is a 1985 Laserdisc video game released for the arcades by Data East. A Sega Mega CD port was released in 1992 under title of Road Avenger in North America and Europe, and Road Blaster FX in Japan. The game was also ported to the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in Japan in 1996 in a bundle with Thunder Storm, its predecessor.
The game is an "interactive movie" where the player drives a modified interceptor while ramming into enemy vehicles. Like most interactive movie games, the game is comprised animated full motion video scenes in which the player must respond to on-screen commands displayed on-screen.
The game's animation was produced by Toei Animation, while the game itself was designed by Yoshihisa Kishimoto, who would go on to direct the Kunio-kun and Double Dragon franchises for Technos Japan. Obviously, the protagonist's car later appeared at the beginning of the first Double Dragon.
