"Road to the West" accompanies the sad and poignant resolution of the first episode of the anime, as well as that of the Netflix adaptation which followed closely the same plot. This track is particulary memorable for its nostalgic melody played by saxophone and the use of rhythm and ethereal synths in the background.
Yoko Kanno wrote two versions for the anime (with and without rhythm), and for the Netflix episode was used a version with a slightly clearer intro and a longer outro. In this video I mixed all these versions together. Enjoy!
