【RollerGames】 Blind NES Reviews | Squiggy Seven: First Impressions (Episode #017/884)
Hey friends, welcome to Roller Games - the game that's much better than the title implies, hahah. Get your quest from a badass granny and start rollerpunching your enemies to oblivion.
First off, the fucking music. Oh my God, the music, oh my God. I usually don't start off with music props, but I really enjoyed this. It's got kind of a TMNT feel, which makes sense because it's by Konami.
Speaking of which, the whole game sort of has a TMNT feel. Not the original NES one, the beat'm ups that were arcade ports. This also makes sense, because it's Konami.
That's quite the compliment though. Those beat'm ups were always some of my favourites, and more in that style can only be a good thing.
---[ Wikipedia Description ]---------------
Rollergames is a coin-operated arcade game by Konami, made in 1990, and based on the television show of the same name. This arcade game is faithful to the show unlike the NES version of RollerGames, which is a side-scrolling game. The game is for two players and features all the skaters and managers from the league.
That's it though. They don't talk about this version of RollerGames, just the arcade one. Oh well, you guys probably don't read this anyways, hahah. Not that I blame you of course, it's more for people that just want an extra bit of information to read while they're listening along. I don't know.
---[ Series Information ]---------------
Squiggy Seven: First Impressions is a series where I blind review random NES games in an effort to learn more about the hidden classics on the system. I have gotten into retro collecting for the NES and I am on the hunt for those games I've never played that I'm missing out on.

Ayayo! How goes it, YouTube travelers?
Nothing too exciting going on over here today, sorry for the uninteresting blog post. But that's to be expected, yeah? They can't all be fantastic and interesting days.
One thing I tried new with this video is increasing the game sound. Typically I keep my game sound around -12 dB nowadays. I've gone as low as -20 dB when I started, -15 dB for the majority of videos, and -12 dB as a new standard. This one I tried -8 dB, and I'm wondering - how does it sound? Do you have trouble making out my commentary? I don't on my speakers, but there's a big difference between listening to YouTube on semi nice speakers and listening to it on an old phone with a blown out speaker, so if you guys have trouble hearing the commentary, please let me know! Just a little experiment.
Cheers!
