After seeing the announcement trailer for Total War: Pharaoh, I wanted to go back and see what the original unit variety and playstyle there was for Egypt in Rome: Total War which was released back in 2004. My expectations are that everything in the new game should be better, or equal to, the standard that was set back then. I will be looking at things like the general's speeches, advisors, events, and win conditions. There are some items that have already been lost through recent Total War games like the ability to view your cities on the battlemap and see them get upgraded as you build new infrastructure, like a coliseum, barracks, or market.
