Ryan and Steven's Prelude
15This is the first of a number of preludes I'll be uploading this week for a tabletop Vampire: the Masquerade game that we'll be streaming every week from now on.
The characters in this prelude are:
Ryan, a Malkavian from Northern Ireland. He grew up during the Troubles and was a committed unionist. His sire and he cause all manner of mischief back home but with the Good Friday Accords the fun was at an end. To get rid of him his sire locked him in a shipping crate bound for Chicago where the prince was known to destroy trespassing vampires. He was only barely saved by the timely intervention of...
Steven, a member of clan Tremere. Steven grew up in England and as a young man served in the Second World War where he was injured and forced to walk with a cane. He involved himself in academics after the war and became an expert in computers and chemistry, eventually becoming a professor at the University of Chicago. His sire embraced him for his scientific acumen but mostly left him to his own devices.
The pair have a joint prelude because they are currently very close allies and share a haven. In order to make money after leaving his teaching job Steven began to use his chemical knowledge to cook meth. He saved Ryan so that he could make use of the young man as a street dealer and the two currently have plans to expand their operation.
