“Anywhere from 6 months, to a year, or more.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“SÆLIG currently is not feature complete and there is still a lot of stuff to add over the course of early access. Once these are all added the game will enter its full state.
Some of the main features that are planned to be added between now and then are:
Many maps which are unlocked and changed based on the current state of war
New mission types (trading, assassinations, rescues, sabotage)
More businesses, buildings, upgrades, and productions
Expanded crime system
Positions of power that allow you to play the game in different ways
Viking raids and war events
Construction and land ownership
Adventures and lots to discover
There are also plans to include a form of multiplayer at some point during development.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“Currently you can do all of the following:
Choose between two maps to play on
Create a character
Buy houses and businesses
Upgrade and manage buildings
Produce goods
Form relationships
Get married
Have children
Commit crimes
Trade goods
Explore in first person
Do basic trade missions
Some of the current features and mechanics are yet to be fully fleshed out and will slowly change as the game develops.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The early access price will be lower than the final price.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“I want the to community to help decide on new features, and how some things should work. A small test group was able to help shape the game in a massive way. I want to continue this with a larger community.”
