i figured out that the Saints row updates are patches that change certain things in the game and limit the cheats you can use, and restrict alot of extra stuff in co op play. Read below to get around EVERYTHING they patch :)

This is video of the HANGAR 18 1/2 mission and how to get the laser guns back to Steelport and YOU CAN SAVE IT!!!..it still works, i did this a while ago, i wasn't going to put a video online until someone else did, and to this day it is not patched :) The only bad things are that it is a long long mission, and after the Laser pistol is saved, you can load the game and it will still be there, BUT it is invisible when you hold the guns, and when you fire them, they are totally silent!!! Silent invisible deadly weapon anyone?

There is a certain way to trigger this to work. The way to do it is just like you see in this video, you have to get to the very end of the mission, fight the BIG alien Brutina, knock her out until a big Y comes over her, then go to weapons and take them off/ select hands, make sure you go over to her with your hands only to do the finishing move

it may not work the first time, as seen in this video, just shoot your JENNY& kill her then restart from the last checkpoint that way.. The second time you fight the Brutina, do the same thing, when she is stunned, UN-EQUIP your guns and walk over to her with hands only to do the finishing move

if you see the gun finishing move you are good to go, then finish the mission, go to safe house, equip new gun, save game.. if you see the GRENADE finishing move, it is incorrect and will not work, you need to see the GUN blowing off the head finishing move for it all to work

THIS IS IMPORTANT: do not use weapon cheats before , during or after the mission, as if you use any weapon cheats THE LASER GUNS WILL GO AWAY and this will not work

it's confirmed , i dug up my old white x box 360 , logged off from the internet, popped in SR3 & on the first mission i was using cheats , after all i did pay extra for the cheats + other stuff on the Download content section of the game and i should be able to use them ;) It's always fun finding new things in a game..Glitches, holes, priceless Easter eggs, un-accessable areas, and more.. Like finding the new TRON SUITS , and in this video, very small, very deadly invisible laser pistols :) all for free too

YOU HEAR THAT THQ? Volition? it's fun to do extra stuff in the activities, missions, and free roam.. WHEN YOU PATCH STUFF and change things , it decreases the REPLAY VALUE..There should be a universal video game rule that once a new game is created you don't change it or limit the things you can and can't do

i never liked those updates for the simple reason that once i saw the first one i got years ago , the writing and structure of the words written seemed threatening, and then punishment gets dished out by them banning you from playing online unless you get the update.. That is constitutionally wrong no matter how their lawyers wrote it up and they know it , so there is a bigger issue here at hand.. FREEDOM

With a game that has things slated to be released in the coming months, you do not want to decrease the REPLAY VALUE!!!i figured it out and circumvented the patches by using my old x box offline and now you can too!!! TAKE BACK YOUR FREEDOM!!!!

There is also a way to clear your cache of update patches somewhere in your x box menu , i haven't done it yet, but it is the same thing, once you want to play online, you have to update your system or it wont let you play.. They make you download the patches. So for now i keep two consoles , one offline for glitches and one online for co op multiplayer action

THQ , Volition and other game companies took away your freedom , i just gave it back....
This also goes for all the other games that have been patched in the past , you just need an older or new console game system that never got the update, of find the way in your system to clear the update cache and keep it offline for glitches and priceless easter eggs
