SEGA COO recently talked with Yahoo Japan about reissuing the SEGA Megadrive/Genesis in the same way that Nintendo has created the Nintendo and Super Nintendo Classic systems. In the past SEGA clone consoles have been created with SEGA licensing the name out to other companies to manufacture and ship the product.
