Semmeringbahn (Mürzzuschlag to Wiener Neustadt) review ~ Train Sim World 4
154The Semmeringbahn is a famous mountain railway in Austria, known for the windy and steeply-graded section of track between Mürzzuschlag and Gloggnitz. We already had this route in TS classic, but Dovetail have extended the route coverage to Wiener Neustadt. This is Train Sim World's first 100% Austrian route (as in, a route that doesn't include one bit in Austria and the other in a neighboring country).
Despite the good route concept, the add-on is let down by the poor rolling stock offering. All you get with this route are the OBB Class 1116 'Taurus' locomotive, Class 4024 'Talent 1' EMU, 2nd class variant of the Bmz 'Eurofima' coaches and some freight wagons reused from previous add-ons. The Talent 1 is also reused, having first appeared in the low-quality S-Bahn Vorarlberg pack.
