Shadows of Kurgansk ist ein Zombie Survival Crafting Adventure und bietet neben dem Überlebensmodus auch einen Storymodus und diverse Missionen zum Spielen. Es gilt Ressourcen zu sammeln um Waffen, Werkzeuge und einen Unterschlupf zu bauen und zu Überleben. Besonders hübsch gelungen ist auch die Grafik im Cel Shading Stil, welche an Titel wie Borderlands oder The Walking Dead erinnert.
