1Shao Kahn, the former Emperor of Outworld and the Boss of Mortal Kombat 2. He first appeared in 1993 and is one of the franchise's primary villains. In Mortal Kombat 1 General Shao is a younger version of the character. Shao Kahn is known and feared for his physical strength and skills in black magic. He wields a giant 'Wrath Hammer' and has sought to conquer all other realms up to and including Earthrealm. He's a well known video game villain and is constantly mocking and taunting other players. He was originally personified by actor and bodybuilder Brian Glynn. I love Shao Kahn! His level in MK 2 was great, Kano and Sonya were chained up, and it instantly answered the question of why they weren't on the Mortal Kombat 2 roster. He watched from his throne while you fought Kintaro, and then got up to smash you himself if you made it that far! Its great that Netherealm Studios has kept him as evil as ever. Fascism personified, Shao Kahn is a brutal dictator and proud of it!
