The Tarnishing of Juxtia is a souls-like metroidvania by Actual Nerds (the studio, not sure about the individuals). While many of the steps are fairly cliche, the game itself seems fairly competent at carving its niche in the genre - with its closest relative being Blasphemous - and if you enjoyed that one, you very well may enjoy this one.
