It's official! Skechers has entered the world of high-end football boots, with Harry Kane being their first major signing! Available as both mids and lows, the Skechers SKX_01 will retail for around $225, putting them at the same price point as all of the most popular brands! Here's the thing, Skechers has a certain reputation as it relates to the originality of their designs, and with it being public knowledge that a few ex-Nike employees are responsible of the new Skechers football division, it shouldn't be much of a surprise that their new boots share a lot in common with Nike's now discontinued Phantom GT model.
While I plan on reviewing these boots purely from an objective standpoint, as I do with all of my reviews, I can't not discuss my thoughts on the recent history of Skechers as a brand.
