Winter is coming. For a lot of us that means one thing: expense. Presents, especially for kids, are ridiculously important - and with so many options available, surely it'd be useful to know which of the two prominent toy/game hybrids are better?

At least for the sake of your wallet?

To this end, the man children at The Killer Bits have compiled a definitive guide as to which product - Disney Infinity 2.0 or Skylanders: Trap Team - is a better fit for kids and their parents this Christmas. It's a pretty important distinction to make, as parents won't want to be stuck with something awful and kids don't want presents which aren't fun.

So, which is better? Skylanders or Infinity? I guess you'd better watch the video to find out!

Skylanders: Trap Team is the fourth iteration in the Skylanders franchise, an action-adventure game series aimed primarily at children. Once again the game utilezes actual figures of the Skylanders (with NFC chips in their base to) to swap characters in and out of the game by placing the toys on the Skylanders portal. This installment now allows you to also capture fallen enemies by use of traps allowing you to play as both the heroes and villians.

Disney Infinity 2.0 is the updated version of Disney's own toy based game, now compatible with the latest generation of consoles and now ncluding characters from the Marvel comic universe. The starter set includes 3 iconic charaters from the Avengers - Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow. Like it's counter parts it uses near-field communication to swap charaters in and out of the game. But whereas Skylanders is primarily focused on the game Infinity allows children with imagination to play for hours in their Toy Box, creating their own levels.
