Skylar & Plux is an indie 3D platformer by Swedish developer Right Nice, released in 2017. It got a big marketing push when it came out, angling itself as a spiritual successor of sorts to the classic PS2 platformer Jak & Daxter.

With beautiful art and solid platforming mechanics, Skylar & Plux is a good game. But is it good enough to live up to what inspired it? And how does it compare to other indie 3D platformers that came out at the time? The genre is experiencing a comeback these days, so let's take a look!
