Slim Plays Shovel Knight - #1. Shovel in Hand!
95Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and welcome to my new Let's Play!
That's right, it's time to take on Shovel Knight for the channel! I've been looking forward to playing this game for you guys on my channel, ever since I did my original stream playthrough of the game several years ago. From the moment I started playing this game, I loved it and it instantly became a favorite of mine. Great gameplay, an amazing soundtrack, and incredibly stellar production values, all for an indie title no less, this game is a must play for gamers everywhere at some point!
To start with, this will be a 100% playthrough of the normal, base game; Shovel of Hope. However, I do plan to spend some time with the other adventures (Plague of Shadows, Specter of Torment & King of Cards as well) and some of the other extra modes as well. I won't promise that content will be ready or posted AFTER the main part of the playthrough completes (as I'm still researching and deciding how I want to handle that), but due to the production values put forth into this game, especially over the past 5-years, I feel like this game deserves the extra attention. Now, even though I said this is a 100% playthrough, I will not be focusing on getting all of the feats/achievements, although I will go over and touch on them at some point in the playthrough. For now, let's just focus on Shovel of Hope and move on from there.
In this first video, we get introduced to the story and play the first stage; the Plains of Passage! I also investigate the town and the nearby Troupple Pond! We'll start focusing on those Order of No Quarter goons next time!
