Smash King - 3rd Ending
"You gotta see what's behind that locked door!"
After a bit of a break after the completion of episode 22, I now have completed the 3rd ending sequence for Smash King that'll stick with us to the series' final episode! Hope you enjoy! And check out the new upload of Episode 22 on my archive channel that now has this sequence implemented, as well as some audio additions and adjustments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcTdhDtL1SY

Ending Song: I.D.E.A.
Artist: RoST
From the video game: Megaman X6
Sooo, if you're an older fan that remembers, I had originally chosen "Don't Be Discouraged" from Slayers Try to be my third ending. But, I was (ironically) discouraged from using that song since the copyright holders of Slayers music got a bit active. And they were inconsistent about it too. Most videos with the second ending get the usual claim, some are blocked in a few countries, and a few (most notably Episode 13 Part 3 and Episode 16 for a time) got a whole worldwide block! And I rather not deal with that again with another Slayers song. ^^;
Choosing a song and overall direction of the sequence was kinda tough. There were some attempts at a Lizardon-centric ending or even a Ganondorf one, but I ultimately felt like it should stick to our main trio, plus those ideas probably wouldn't give the feeling of "this is the last ending of the show." And that's when it all fell into place: "finality."
The song "I.D.E.A." had the balance I was looking for, something more upbeat akin to the first ending but the lyrics have a grit and thoughtful feel that the second ending had. And the sequence itself became a "night before the final battle." I've always wanted this ending to start with the night version of Battlefield, so I thought to take that further for the whole sequence; like, what the Main Eight plus Lu-Lu would be doing the night before they meet back together the next day for the big showdown. Heck, just allowing the background to help tell the story of this ending really elevates it for me personally, especially the sunrise part. Brawl really is a pretty game.
I think my personal favorite ending will always be the second one, but this one grew on me really quick once I had a clear idea (lol) of what I wanted from this.
