As of the recording of this video, I saw a huge influx in subscribers and views. I can definitely say that I am absolutely grateful for everything you have given to me.

So, I thought it would make sense to create a video talking a little bit about the channel as I have yet to upload a trailer to the channel. If you feel like reading the general gist of the channel, here's a written version of what I cover in the video.

The channel is about me exploring games for the first time. After being unable to follow the gaming sector for several gaming generations, I started a project where I would write full reviews of video games starting with the era's I already knew about. This was all done on the website, freezenet.ca.

As I went along, I realized that I could also expand this project to include video content. So, in 2019, I started this channel. It was originally just "Freezenet", but changed to "Your Era Gamer" to better reflect the main content that is published on this channel. The idea was that I would offer video's of the very first moments I experienced when playing these games and offer some initial thoughts. This through the first impression video series.

The advantage I have in checking out these games is that I don't necessarily have that rose-tinted glasses for a particular era - this is especially true for eras that start with the GameCube/Playstation 2 era and newer. If you have ever wondered what it would be like for a gamer to experience games you've played recently or years ago, you have definitely come to the right channel!

As a small YouTube channel, I don't have a whole lot of resources at the moment. I simply have some basic capture equipment, free software and the consoles and games I was able to afford after considerable amounts of scrounging for money. So, for those wondering why it's taking so long to get to more modern games or why I haven't quite gotten to the latest in gaming, well, money constraints is the primary reason for that.

Still, with the increase interest in the channel, I can definitely say I have a lot of great ideas moving forward with this channel should the growth continue.

I would absolutely love to have video editing software. This, for me, would be a major step forward for the channel when talking about how I could improve the content further. I would also like to expand into full video reviews, video essays, and even growing my tech and digital rights news channel, Freezenetca. Even better, I would love to financially be able to sustain myself and pursue this stuff full time. More out there stretch goals is hiring others to help work on the content of this channel, but I know that is a lofty goal.

So, with the resources I have now, where am I moving from here? Well, I am doing what I can to afford newer consoles. I am already venturing into purchasing games new, but it will take a lot of time, money, and effort at the current pace to get to a position where I can also check out brand new games on a regular basis. I'm moving in the direction of new games (as some are seemingly thinking I should move in), but the results of these moves won't likely be seen for several months yet.

Still, I am super grateful for the support I have already been given. Thank you so much for the views, subscriptions, likes, and comments. It has really been an emotional boost that I have been needing after coming out of the worst December I have experienced in my life in which my own mother passed away (yes, the same month Blue Scuti's father passed away). I want to create great content and will happily continue the grind to get there. I hope you enjoy the content I've produced in the past and hope you enjoy the content moving forward as well. We're in this incredible adventure together and I hope it is a great one moving forward.
