Sonic Adventure 2, some call it the Dreamcast's way of going out with a bang and others like to say it's only one third good. Some say it's the Sonic series' crowning achievement and others like to declare it as an irredeemable mess that only nostalgia blinded fools can enjoy. Is that true? Well, as of uploading today marks the 20 Year Anniversary since the game's initial release, as well as Sonic's 30th Anniversary, so I think for this very special occasion we might just have a few hours to spare.

SA2 is definitely a beloved game, so I'm interested as to how the reaction to this one is going to be! If you want my short thoughts on the game, it's really good. If you want the long answer, or just want to see how I ended up at that conclusion, and maybe find out a few other details along the way? You're in the right place. Is the GameCube's Sonic Adventure 2: Battle the better version? What about the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 ports? And of course, how good are each of the gameplay styles?

Ironically, talking about all the aspects of the game almost make this last as long as the game itself! There's a lot to say this time, so bring out the popcorn once again, clear your schedule and get ready for a trip back to the start of the millennia as we take a look at yet another game from 2001! (There's really a theme forming with the reviews this year isn't there?) Sonic Adventure 2 is an incredible game in my eyes, and hopefully you enjoy the absolute rollercoaster of reasoning I have to try and justify why that is.
