Why, hello there! It's been a minute since the last video was posted, and I have too much to talk about.

First of all, I keep trying to be active for this account and constatnly try to reply to the questions I occasionally get. My inactivity for new videos in particular is directly related to the lack of new personal records I can share.

I finally managed to beat this world record, but it took a tremendous amount of effort and time. About half of a year ago I've made a spreadsheet for this category in which I included all the sets, knowledge of which can let you to save time by skipping the last hint or taking the pieces out of order. It's not limited to confirmed sets only, there were also sets with variations of few p3s you could get.

The total amount of sets I tried to remember was over 500 out of 1024. However, with more and more attempts it became clear that if you wanna pursue this way of playing Meteor Herd, you'll either need more than that, or alternatively give up on doing that for half of all sets. I started adding more sets and eventually there were about 900 out of 1024.

I'll be frank, there was no point of time when I managed to remember all of it. Particularly ambiguous hints make memorization process so much harder, I'd have to get it once "today" in order to "remember" it again. Eventually I ended up trying to remember "general paths" where I wanted to follow over actual pieces, but sometimes that backfired too.

By the end of few hours long grinding sessions I was generally confident about how should I play every set I'm getting, but that alone is not enough if you wanna win against luck. RNG is still a very important factor here, and you have to be lucky to a certain extent if you wanna get a run that's faster than you've ever done. And I did have a great amount of close runs that ended up being between 16:59 and 17:25. They all beat my old Personal Best, but still were too far from the actual World Record, which was 16:55.

Either way, I'm happy I achieved my goal, although I'm still not entirely satisfied with how quickly that pace dropped toward the end of the run. This is not the kind of WR that should stay for years, and I'm still trying to beat it.

As for what will happen next, I cannot say. There's still a lot I want to achieve, including at least one long SA2 TAS project, but I cannot promise when will I be able to finish it, or at least share the progress.

I also found myself actively playing CS with the community, especially before September 2023 when they released CS2. Many people stopped playing, but until then there was a lot of content that I started using for videos that I used to post on this account unlisted, but in the end I decided to create a separate account for it, so if you're interested feel free to subscribe to my alt channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCADIX4iwJ2JI8U0o_i_7CCw
After all it has way more content in the last year, and there will likely be more in the near future (until I go through all of my 2023 clips at least).

Merry Christmas!
