L'écran de titre et l'introduction de Sonic CD sur la version européenne. C'est la première fois que nous voyons le hérisson bleu en version animé. L'histoire parle d'une planète, nommée "Little Planet", gravitant autour de Mobius. Les pierres spéciales qui s'y trouvent y altèrent le temps. Il y a donc beaucoup d'endroit inexplorés qui peuvent être épargnés par le temps. Sonic et Amy s'y rendent, car notre héros est passionné par l'histoire de cette planète. Celle-ci apparaissant le dernier mois de chaque année au dessus du never Lake. Malheureusement, la planète luxuriante fait place à une planète de Métal et celle-ci est attachée à une chaîne pour l'empêcher de s'évaporer. Robotnik est dans le coup, aucun doute là-dessus.
