On a distant island, Doctor Eggman finds an ancient artifact that seems to be connected to the era of the ancients, but in deciphering its secrets he comes into contact with an AI that will drag him into a digital realm. Not long after, Sonic and his friends are catapulted and separated in a bizarre way into this digital world, and it is precisely in this place that Sonic will meet Sage.
The mysterious girl who will test him during this difficult adventure, to save his friends and to preserve the memories of an ancient past.
