"When a mysterious island seemingly appears from nowhere, Dr. "Eggman" Robotnik's mischief leads him to launch an investigation on this secluded island. His findings reveal a lost civilization, gone corrupt from the power of super animals that inhabited the island. The doctor organizes his newest plan, to use these animals to power Superpowered Badniks, and begins building his base on the island. After the doctor falls under attack from the supercharged animals, he seeks refuge on an artificial island constructed nearby. Now, it's up to Sonic and his friends to put a stop to the doctor's plans, and save the mystical creatures from doom."
Sonic: Project Survival, led and designed by The Blue Renegade, runs on the GMATE engine, and features completely original zones, inspired by previous levels from the 16-bit era.
