✂ Getting to know the person behind the Gamer Tag: ✂
1) What is your real name?
Terrence Mikell

2) Where are you from?
Columbus, GA

3) How old are you?
24

4) What are your hobbies?
Gaming and chilling/doing stuff with friends

5) What do you do for a living?
I am a software development engineer

✍Now on to Street Fighter:✍

6) How long have you been playing SF or Fighting games in general?
I've been playing fighters all my life pretty much. They are my favorite types of video games.

7) Are you a Pad or Arcade stick player and why?
I'm a pad player. I grew up playing games on console using a pad and just stuck with it.

8) If you had one word to describe your play style what would it be?
Necessary

9) How frequently do you practice and for how long?
Usually every weekday for 3-5 hours.

10) Apart from your main character, do you have a back up character?
Sadly no. I've tried to change that a few times but its hard for me to play someone else when I still have things to learn with my main.

11) why do you think now days it's important (or not important) to have a back up character?
I think its important to have a backup character to be able to cover the matchups your main character has a tougher time in.

12) What is your worst match up and why?
Guile. Its really hard to deal with his fireballs. My only real answewr to them is critical art, and I won't always have that during the match.

13) Any changes you would like to see from your character/s in the future?
Yes. I would like her vtrigger duration and fireball recovery to be reverted back to how it was in season 1. I don't think thats asking for too much.

14) Do you have a favorite player/look up to in the FGC and why?
Sako. He is optimal with almost everything he does and his punishes are ridiculous.

14.a) if yes to above question, do you try to emulate his/her playstyle or do you add your own flavor?
I didn't try to emulate his playstyle, but if he did something I liked or thought was good I'd use it. Can't do that this season since he doesn't play chun anymore though.

15) Do you participate in local tourneys? if so, which was the most memorable?
Yes I do. I guess the most memorable would have to be our Red Bull Proving Grounds event Southeast Battles. It was the first tournament that I won that felt like it had some sort of significance because of the prize at the end of the season.

16) Thoughts on Capcom and Capcom Cup Series?
I think its awesome that capcom has its own pro tour for SFV. I hope to make an appearance in capcom cup one day.

17) Now that SFV is finally out, what are your thoughts on the game so far?
I like it. I think the top tiers could use a little tweaking, but I enjoy what we have right now.

18) Which game is better from the following: SF 3rd strike, USF4 or SFV and why?
SFV. I'm not a fan of mechanics that stop me from playing footsies (focus attack, parry) in the way that I like to. However, I do enjoy playing all 3 games. SFxT is the best though.

19) What tips (of your character/s) would you tell a new player or someone who looks up to you?
I'd tell them to keep trying if they aren't seeing results right away and to train in layers. They shouldn't try to add a lot to their gameplay at once.

20) Any shout out you would like to give?
Shout outs to the GAFGC and to Olympic Gaming for this player spotlight.

**BONUS**

1)Why the Gamer Tag?
A friend of mine came up with the name Soriku and I used it online a couple times. I got my PS3 when I was 16 years old and I couldn't use Soriku as a psn name, so i just stuck my age on the end of Soriku and it worked.

2)What attracted you to (your main)?
Her normals. I enjoy doing as little as possible to win. It looked like all I had to do was use her normals to win so that was perfect for me. Thats not really the case in SFV, but in some of her matchups in other games it works.

3)How can people reach you?
