Stronghold: Definitive Edition is an improved version of the cult real-time strategy that gave rise to the entire series. This title introduces not only refreshed, but also completely new content.Fortress: Definitive Edition and was nominated for a BAFTA award. As in the case of the remaining installments of the series, FireFlyStudios is responsible for the production ofRTS Plot The events presented in the title take place in medieval Europe. The title includes a total ofthree campaigns: two classic ones and one completely new one, developed by the co-founders of Firefly Studios - Simon Bradbury and Eric Ouelette. As part of the latter - available only in the Definitive Edition - players set off deep into ruined England to find and rescue the kidnapped niece of Sir Longhand. Mechanics Just like the original this game is a combination of city builder and military and economic strategy, span. The gameplay is based on building and designing impressive castles and vast settlements, building powerful fortresses, managing finances and resources, and developing a fearless army with which our population will feel safe. The most spectacular element of the game are the fierce battles that we often have to fight against enemy troops. Fearless daredevils can also try their hand at"Castle Trail", a series of 10 new, historically inspired siege scenarios. Technical issues Just like the original Stronghold: Definitive Edition has two-dimensional graphics, shown in an isometric view. The improved Fortress introduces refreshed graphics and animations, developed from scratch by the artists responsible for the prototypes. The title also includesa remastered soundtrack by Robert L. Euvino, which has been enriched with completely new lines recorded by some of the original voice actors.
