In 1994 Sega released a sequel to two of the best games they had ever done. Did it live up to the lofty expectations of Sega fans around the world?

Episode Notes:

1. Captured on the Mega SG.

2. Music selections captured on real hardware.

3. As far as I know, the PAL releases had all the same changes as the US version.

4. I always believed that Sega should have done a special Sega CD or 32X edition of this as well. It was such a missed opportunity.

5. Max is missing from this game entirely.

6. The Japanese version has more difficulty settings open by default. There is a Very Hard mode that is quite nasty.

7. If I had to put a figure on it, I'd say I like maybe 25% of the soundtrack here. A few are really good, but most is not to my taste at all.

8. You can get this game on pretty much everything nowadays. PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch.
