This take was played on an original NES console, probably model 1. It would have been either a standard controller or dogbone (NES model 2) controller, and probably played on my Magnavox console TV. It is a different take than my other 2009 Super Mario Bros. 3 video. I really don't know which take was recorded first. I think I got the capture card and DVD recorder around the same time for my band project and tried both. August 17, 2009 is the date that the video was copied to the computer, but not necessarily the date I played it.

It was recorded on VHS then transferred to an old Windows XP laptop using a cheap EasyCap cature card. This capture card had bad audio quality so I didn't record very many videos this way. I ended up recording most of this year's videos on VHS then transferred most of them to DVD, unfortunately in SLP mode which is the worst quality.

In my 2009 game recording video set there are some videos like this one that were first recorded on VHS then transferred to PC with my first capture card then taped over, some that were first recorded onto VHS then transferred to DVD then taped over, some that were only recorded directly to DVD-R, some that were recorded onto VHS and recorded onto DVD but also left on the tapes, and some that were recorded on VHS but never copied after all these years. There are also a select few videos that managed to be copied with the capture card, copied to a DVD-R and also still remain on the tape.

This is just a full playthrough with the game's audio only and no commentary.

During this playthrough I played through the whole game. I think I played every level as I usually like to do that.
