SAGAT PLAYTHROUGH
Sagat is the third boss the player face in the game. He is notable, along with Ryu and Ken, to be the only returning character from the original Street Fighter, where he was the final boss. He is again unplayable in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. Sagat is the character who represents Muay Thai. Many of his move and his blocking sprite are similar to the real technique presented in this martial art.
While in World Warrior is an unplayable boss, he is now playable on Champion Edition and all the following editions.
Sagat is a motion character. He can shoot high tigers and low tiger projectiles. He can also perform his Tiger Uppercut, which is very similar to Ryu and Ken but generally stronger.
Like the other bosses, Sagat was obviously nerved to be fairer in battle. All his normal move is adjusted to match the strength of the button pressed and deal less damage. He now has unique animation for his fierce punches, instead of using his frame of his tiger shot. Speaking of which, both projectile deals less damage and have more recovery time. However, he regains his Tiger Knee, a move he previously has in the original Street Fighter.
Despite all these adjustments, Sagat is still considered one of the strongest characters in the game, especially against the CPU. He has an answer for most moves and he can chain any air move with his high priority Tiger Uppercut. His Tiger Knee can also hit twice and is very fast. His main weakness is that he has rather big collision boxes during most of his move.
