We orginally uploaded the opening movie for Swagman at decent quality some time ago (though the exact time can only be traced back as far as March 2009, though I'm certain it was made before then), but are making proper game samples for the first time. These videos will go from the intro movie and add almost twenty minutes of additional footage from the start of the game to the demise of the first boss.

Swagman is an interesting and deceptively challenging game by Core Design and Eidos, which deals with two eight year old twins, Zack & Hannah, as their home is overrun by the nightmarish power of the sinister Swagman. Swagman is out to cover the world with nightmares and starts with your home as a creature from the World of Dreams, a Dreamflight, comes to warn you. The Dreamflight is captured by Swagman and his cohorts, the rascally Skallywags, have found Zack's sister and shrank her. Luckily, you were warned just in time for Zack to not get caught, and this sets the stage for your adventure as you free your sister and wander around the twisted realm created by the Swagman's influence.

The game is an adventure/puzzle game of sorts often compared to Zelda, and is comprised of two main realms: The Real World and the Dream World. As the Swagman and his fiends spread nightmare-inducing Dream-Ash and emerge from terrortries, your job is to free your sister and use Dream-Dew to stay awake as you rid the area of Paradise Falls of the Swagman and sleep peacefully. In the real world, the children use various gadgets and tricks to either defeat or outsmart their enemies. When they enter different dream realms through magical mirror warps, they turn into Dreambeasts who fight enemies using their demonic powers. There is also "Limbo" (seen sometimes as the place between heaven and hell) where you free Dreamflights and use bugs you've found to "show you the way". You don't exactly need them, but without them, things are very dangerous. One false step sends you plummeting to your death.

The game isn't particularly deep but does possess pretty good visuals, atmosphere, and ambience. This game was also released for Sega Saturn. Enjoy.
