Honestly, I don't like Rodyle as a boss casually but I find him kinda fun in a solo setting.
Just noticed I have some blank space at the end of the video there. Oops. Don't mind that haha.

Game Modifications:
-Arte sphere mod for more arte slots
-Modified the party

Strategy:
This is a pretty simple fight, but I like Rodyle's basic attack chain so I'll explain it lol. Rodyle's attack chain is generally slash-uppercut-slam (hopefully these names make sense for the way they look). He can actually start with any one of these attacks, but he has to use them in this order. For example, if he uses slam then he can't follow up with anything since it's last in the chain. Whether he follows up on a slash with the short range uppercut is actually based on proximity. If I'm not close enough to him, he'll actually stop his chain on slash instead of using uppercut. I can use this knowledge to bait out Rodyle's slam which has a poorly designed hitbox that I can abuse! Rodyle's slam has pretty much no vertical hitbox to it, so I can literally just jump to dodge it. In this case, I used Swallow Kick to punish the attack. Pretty cool right?

Later into the fight, Rodyle gets a different chain after an HP threshold (not sure exactly where it is). He can use an insta-cast Gravity Well after the uppercut or slash. As long as I'm ready for it, it shouldn't be an issue. What's funny is that this is actually affected by spell queue. If he tries an insta-cast while another one of his spells is already on the field, then he'll just do a casting animation without doing anything.

That being said, this is a pretty straight forward big monster fight as Regal. Jump over em and combo when I find the opportunity, that's the most optimal strat :p
