Recently, the pitch for WayForward's Nintendo DS version of the cancelled Crash Landed game was put up for sale, along with other assets. Motwera from Crashy News and Darkaiser organized a fundraiser to preserve its development materials, like playable builds and a design document. Now, nearly 15 years later, we can finally experience this lost prototype for the first time.

For context, Crash Landed was a reboot being developed by Radical Entertainment.

Plans for a Nintendo DS version were also in the works, with proposals from studios like Renegade Kid and WayForward. Sadly, none were approved as the project was abandoned before a decision was made.

The main game was cancelled after two years of development when Activision shut down the division responsible for Crash Landed.

This short demo gives a glimpse into what could have been, based on WayForward's vision for a handheld Crash Landed game. Interestingly, it was originally built on top of another cancelled Taz game before being repurposed.
