aka 'There Were Only 16 RTS Games On SNES And Mega Drive'.

The RTS is a PC genre, right? Well, surprisingly, there were a fair few games from that genre on the Mega Drive and SNES. Obviously Herzog Zwei and no Command and Conquer, but there’s a few others too. Not loads, but enough to make it interesting.

We will never think of the Genesis and Super Famicom as homes of the real-time strategy genre, but Starcraft had to start somewhere, you know? And MOBAs like League of Legends didn’t come out of nowhere, in fact being influenced by a specific game on the Mega Drive. Which is weird, because you just don’t think it works that way. Huh.

And here's Larry's Peter Molyneux video I nabbed that image from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9k3RdfJ2U8

Please do like, share and subscribe if you enjoy. Don’t if you don’t, it’s all good.
