After stumbling across a trailer for indie developer Mimimi's new video game Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew my interest was immediately piqued. After discovering the title, I played their previous games Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Desperados 3. These stealth strategy games inspired real time tactics games likes of Commandos quickly became some of my favorite games of all time. In this short video essay, I discuss and review my experiences with Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3. I also touch on what I expect out of Shadow Gambit. I had no expectation that these indie stealth games would become the best games I've ever played but here we are.
