The Customization In This Looks Wonderful! - ArcheAge Lets Play Part 1 ( Customization )
2Heylo darling Hell Sheep,
Welcome to another new lets play an this time we are playing not just another F2P RPG but this game particularly is designed with CryEngine 3 which if I am not mistaken is the same engine used for the Crysis Series of games, if this is wrong feel free to correct me.
We are starting out as we normally do with customization an so far I do have afew things to say about it so grab your 3D Glasses an break out the popcorn because here we go, alright so first off we have an decent number of races we can choose from with both gender roles which is something a lot of RPGs actually DO NOT have.
Each of these races have 8 classes to choose from which spans to each race as-well which I like better then having the class race specific as some of the RPG games I have covered have done, the next thing is something rather new to me which each race actually has a little video that you can play to learn about them along with the background history.
The art design for both Race and Class are very well designed with each being unique along with the colors and styling no matter which gender role you pick as-well so that was a nice touch , plus one thing that I noticed was afew of the outfit styles which are tied to the class you choose are unique to the race you choose. For example the Elven race is seen with more elegance and vibrant detailed attire or dresses flourished in crowns an jewels compared to say the humans that are more loose an rugged.
Sound design is wonderful even with the intro movie and the dialogue from the short videos you got to see here so I hope that this will carry through into the main gameplay when we get to it.
CGI Movie Scenes or Cutscenes are VERY good almost like watching an really detailed anime which could be thanks to the CryEngine used for development and if this is the same level of detail or animation you see in Crysis do let me know in comments below.
