Trying again to do the Gunner Stage 5 Challenges, to get the Minigun. This time with the third attempt. Actually a bit more attempts, because Ubisoft servers are unstable at times. Have even tried before where I almost had done Basilisk. Only needed to destroy his helmet, and then kill him. But then connection failure screen. My internet connection here are good with no problems in other games, or watch streamed stuff etc. And it's on 1GBit (1000 Mbit/sec. Both up and down).
But I've experienced to get connetion lost already around 10 times. Have sendt Ubisoft a bug-report, but not sure if they want to fix it. Think they have too few servers, and when new players start the game to play, their system kick some players already in the game, in order to make room for those new players. Just a theory I have. Either way, it must be something in their hardware, that makes either unstable connection or there is a max limit on no. of players. If a company have a successful game, then I would address the various problems, that makes the system kick some players out. If not addressed, and maybe the problem gets worse, that popular game will get more and more unpopular with less and less gaming. And maybe even even hurt the company image. Why buy more games from Ubisoft, if new games also have problems and bugs?

Besides the connection failure, it's also weird with the buildin time delay with eg. using a pilot to get from N.Y. to Washington. Or you have done first step of a control point, then one needs to wait several minuttes in order to the next wave of baddies to arrieve... Why? Some kind of incorporated realism, that people don't just pop up, but have to move their body to your location? This game isn't exactly high on the realism side general anyway, so why the wait time?
The game are not that super bad, compared to when I played it the first few times. It seemed very weird and old school with some of their gaming mechanics. Like eg. lacking a manual save function, so you have to keep on playing if in middle of a mission. Because you need to start all over with the mission, if you quit.
And all the complex system with the weapons, armor etc. also seemed the opposite of being intuitive (to me IMHO).
But game seemed okay at the moment, because I gave it some more chances, and gamed a couple of more times. Even thou the game has some negative sides, it also have some positive sides. The graphic are nice, and atmosphere with the various of signs, graffitti, various set of animals in the streets... dogs, racoons, deers, rats....

The complex weapon, armor, and item system annoyed me also in the start. Also the fact it's not a realistic system, but has more to adventure games with magic (eg. putting on a certain type of armor can get your thrown granate back in your inventory, or eg. you get higher damage on some weapons used etc. etc.)

I just like when things are intuitive, and easy to understand within few hours of gameplay. But tried to stretch my level of patience, and gave it some more gaming to see if I could unlock some of the complex system. And perhaps be happier gaming the game.
One should both be patient, and also game a lot, in order to understand the finer details. But if you are like me, that prefer realistic games, that were also something I had to get over, or in other words, ignore the game were not realistic in many ways.

Besides the magic stuff on weapons, then for a postapocalyptic setting, the game also seemed very family friendly and "nice". The dogs in the streets are shy, and run away when seeing you. And some of the NPC's even pet them. In real life, after some time without any owners to feed them, and raise the animals, those dogs will become wild dogs. They will fight for food, bark, growl, and even attack you if seen as a threat to them. And in a realistic society, when things go south, many things will be chaotic, and anarchistic. People will fight for food, houses to sleep in, and many other ugly stuff that happens in wars or civil wars, will also happen in a postapocalyptic setting. Murder and rapes if there's no police or military around. And also a lot of women will turn to prostution. Either on their own desperate needs, or forced by some kind of pimp or leader of a gang type of person.

Even thou those are ofcause very ugly and sad things, they are realistic elements if in a book, movie, or game want to create a realistic postapocalyptic society. But as ugly as they are, they are part of human and also animal behaviour.
