So for the last vision Khristof recieves was not from Ria, but Jagar Tharn instead. Revealing to him the after retrieving and repairing the Staff that it useless. Drained of all magical potential, something Tharn had done himself. This vague information leads Khristof to believe that Tharn is the only one to actually have the power to return the great power of the staff. So Khristof prepares a journey to the Imperial City where he'll face Jagar Tharn, one on one and decide the fate of Tamriel.
