Today we're talking about the entire history of Paradox Interactive, the company responsible for a ton of my favorite gaming moments. Have you ever wanted to learn about their entire backstory, how they came to be Paradox Interactive through all of their highs and lows? Luckily for you I spent... way too long on this video... and I put together the best documentary on the internet detailing as much of Paradox's backstory as I could.

This story comes together to tell us about the love of history, strategy, and gaming. And how they can all be combined to make exceptionally intricate, engaging, fun and intense games for a niche community, including games like Crusader Kings 3, Europa Universalis 4, Hearts of Iron 4, Victoria 3, Stellaris, and also their published games - such as Cities Skylines, Mount & Blade and Magicka :)

We'll talk about all of their highs and lows, peaks and controversies. I'm an outsider who happens to be a fan so, as much as I might be biased I'm definitely not preventing myself from talking about any aspect of Paradox's history, as much as some parts of it we'd rather forget.

We'll cover the juggernaughts of Paradox's grand strategy development studio and business history, from Johan Andersson to Fredrik Wester to Henrik Fåhraeus and more!

And ultimately I hope I put together a very fair representation of the backstory and history of a company responsible for how we like to experience our history games.. through map painting, of course. Feels only apt that they'd get a history chronicle of their own.

I really really hope you all like it! I spent a ton of time and effort researching, recording, editing, putting together every source I could to make as exceptional a documentary as I could on Paradox Interactive's story- from their early days up to the future and beyond.
