Below I have listed several ways that you can educate yourself (and others) on the history of Palestine and the genocide that the settler colony of Israel is currently committing in Gaza, as well as multiple ways that you can help the Palestinian people right now.

Thousands of Palestinians have been killed by the Israel Occupation Force since October 7th, it's not even possible to know the exact number because so many are stuck under the rubble, and our world leaders are simply standing by and allowing this to happen, and worse even outright supporting and funding it. It doesn't take an expert to see that this is a genocide! Clear as day Please don't ignore the atrocities that are being committed against the Palestinian people by "Israel".

EDUCATION

If you don't feel that you know enough about what's been happening to speak up on it, please take a bit of time out of your day to read up on it. This is a great site to start with that I've seen Palestinians recommend: https://decolonizepalestine.com/

If the site is overwhelming to you and you need a bit more guidance I recommend reading through Palestine 101 first. The Myths section is also very important to check out as it debunks countless myths about Palestine and the Palestinian people that you've most likely heard many times throughout your life.

Refusing to give your money to companies supporting the genocide is an easy and effective form of protest, as long as you focus on specific targets. The link above leads to a post from the BDS Movement's official Instagram account which has a list of companies that we've been asked to boycott. You can of course boycott more companies that are supporting "Israel" if you want, like how most of us have decided to boycott Starbucks, but do not spread any boycott lists that aren't from the BDS Movement.

And lastly: Speak up in any way you can. Whether you make your own posts about the genocide, or share and repost other people's posts. You do not need to be an expert in order to stand against genocide. I fully understand not feeling qualified or feeling like you're not able to properly put into words what the Palestinian people are going through, but plenty of people both inside and outside of Gaza do have the right words and are speaking them this very moment, and their voices NEED to be amplified. Reading/Watching and reposting information about Palestine is the absolute least we can do when we have the internet at out fingertips.
