The Incredible Hulk is one of my personal favorite Marvel superheroes, and a very important character for Marvel as a whole. To those who do not remember or never watched (it was highly popular during the 1980s and early 90s), the Hulk character was once famous for including some of the best science fiction stories in comics at his time, a fact that was once taken by Spider-Man comic books as Spider-Man slowly increased in popularity overshadowing the Hulk and also Daredevil in Marvel comic books.

Not only these are important bits about the character but he was written in many storylines as a pretty convincing character, who is completely and I mean completely different from his movies and games counterparts. And I got introduced to the character from quite ironically his 70s TV show (which was mostly a dramatic series with Bruce Banner scavenging and helping people through America in the 70s, a pretty iconic setting for a comic book adaptation), his 90s cartoon (that one isn't very good, it was a time when Marvel was bleeding money so they out sourced their characters to everything that was, well 90s based) and this game.

So how is the game you might wonder? Well it's one of the first games with the Hulk in it, and it's not bad actually, it just needed some more work. The thing is, the first level is not what you should judge about this title at all, since certain games usually start with the worse levels, and just move on to become cool after. This is one of those cases. The level design is pretty cool after the first stage which is mostly a boring mess, and it seems to be on the style of the 90s cartoon, meaning a lot of wacky things like mutant creatures and Star Wars styled soldiers.

You fight some interesting choices, like the Rhino (mostly a Spider-Man villain, kinda out of place) or Abomination who is a recurrent boss through the stages, and the last boss is The Brain. At one point, you fight Hercules, who was a recurring enemy of the Hulk during the 80s to 90s run.

So I kinda recommend this one, it's enjoyable, it's got good and relaxing music, and the levels are kinda cool. It's by the way one of the things no one mentions over the Sega games at this time, how vertical the level design of those action games was, compared to Nintendo's... so yeah, download a ROM or buy this title if you're curious, because it's very fun actually.
