Why am I doing the GBA RPGs before the SNES ones?

I did actually try doing Super Saiyan Densetu a while back... But managed to break the game somehow. After beating Vegeta he's supposed to get into his spacepod and fly away, only the cutscene wouldn't play. All the sprites would load up on the world map like they were supposed to, but nothing would happen and the game would just keep freezing. I tried re-doing the fights, using save states to maybe change some RNG elements, switching emulators, everything I could think of. So it must have been the translation patch I used or something? I'll probably try that again eventually, but for now here's The Legacy of Goku Trilogy.
