As the youngest of King Triton’s daughters, Ariel longs to find out more about the human world, and while visiting the surface, falls for the charming Prince Eric. Mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, so Ariel makes a deal with an evil sea witch called Ursula, who gives her a chance to experience life on land. However, this comes at a price and it ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.
Directed by Rob Marshall and written by David Magee, The Little Mermaid opens in theaters on May 26, 2023.
