The Longest Journey is a point-and-click adventure game. Solve puzzles and explore two worlds. You play as April Ryan a struggling college student just trying to finish her painting.

April Ryan is disturbed after her talk with Cortez. Shaking off the conversation and the chill of him knowing of her nightmares. April goes to the University to work on her painting. After much struggle and frustration, April makes some progress on her painting. April wraps up just as Emma walks in with a strange message. Cortez wants to have her meet him.

Annoyed April has no intention of meeting him. Feeling like she's being watched, April turns around. Just in time for Emma's hologram to come to life briefly and reach out towards April! Just as quick it goes back to being a hologram. Looks like April needs to go find Cortez after all...
