3Welcome to a IP called "Das Schwarze Auge" . A German counter to DnD (Dungeon and Dragons) pen and paper rule set . That any sane person , playing now will say "it became a woke propaganda crap" . On this "Das Schwarze Auge" IP Lore (in Western Regions named The Dark Eye) came many passable RPGs\Adventures (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Eye)... so then what is this , its a Remake of the first game that pushed this Pen and Paper RPG to computers. The thing was to play this game you have to read a 250 page long manual . Part 3 of this game called "Shadows Over Riva" threw this logic out of the window ,and made it so the game will teach itself to you . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NORhI0Poq7M&list=PLECA56563CB50BCA2
So , when this game came it was bad ... imagine a bad broken game with broken scripts... now patched, its a mediocre trash , that you can play ... but the original game is 1000x more fun then this ... build on not modern standards aka placing a game tutorial in the game but ... you are just placed in the game , with no explanation what every option does ... in this hyper open ended RPG , forcing you to read that 250 page long manual ... from part 1 ... from 1992 ouch
and this is the main problem ... they remade the game 1:1 true to the original ...only replacing assets for more 3D , not fixing this game logic aka making it like part 3 ... you still can do the Wand Rope Trick , or Over charge wands to be a flashlight ...
Its it bad , yes ... since this is not your typical Western DND RPG when rules are told to you ... its a RPG when you had to read a 250 pages long manual to play it ... if you can jump through this hoop, then its meh ...
In other words , people wanted it to be remade like "Drakensang: The Dark Eye" or its sequel "Drakensang: The River of Time" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BttxaYBGZnI ... games better then, the woke crap Baldur's Gate 3 ...
