Here is a look at King's Field from 1994 on the Sony PlayStation, an *almost* launch title that also happens to be the first game from From Software, and would serve as an inspiration for the Echo Night, Shadow Tower and Souls/Souls-like games.
Gameplay was captured on real hardware using the Elgato Game Capture HD and video/audio was edited using Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite, Version 12...so a bunch of old crap.
Music used in the video comes from the featured title (King's Field 1) as well as King's Field II, III and IV. The beginning track is from Armored Core 2: Another Age for the PS2. Additional gameplay footage used are from the following games: Dark Souls II (PS3), Armored Core 2 (PS2), Shadow Tower (PS1), The Elder Scrolls: Arena (PC), King's Field III (PS1), Dark Souls (PS3), King's Field Additional I & II (PSP), Demon's Souls (PS5) and Nebula: Echo Night (aka Echo Night: Beyond, PS2)
