Combine old school 90s adventure games with frogwares modern Sherlock Holmes series and then add a pinch of Silent Hill and you'll get The Plainscreek Killings. You play as an investigative reporter sent to the titular town of Plainscreek to uncover the whereabouts of a PI that went missing. In the process you must also find out who is responsible for the murder of Vivian Roberts and if possible shed light light on the string of recent murders and disappearances in the deceivingly peaceful hamlet. This game is a great investigative mystery and one of the more immersive, realistic and cerebral adventure games I've played in recent years.
