2,394The Town Where Everyone Hates Avatar Aang… #avatarthelastairbender #avatar #atla As Aang saves Toph from a building collapse she tells him that when she said help she actually wanted his help to keep the building up but this works too, as he lands on the ground and everyone makes sure they’re all okay. Aang wonders where the benders ran off to and Katara says they all scattered into the city, leaving everyone to stand around and look at the destruction caused by this fight, as people try to sort through the rubble and it’s obvious that this ISN’T going to go over well. The Mayor comes to Aang telling him that this is exactly why they need him here, because of his AUTHORITY, but Aang says you told ME that you wanted me here because of my Wisdom and Guidance. Quickly Aang realizes that he’s actually here to clean up a town full of rogue benders and put a stop to the violence, so he commits to helping the people of this town, starting with trying to earth bend them a new home along with Toph, however when Aang offers the people of the town REJECT his help telling him he they don’t need it and want to rebuild themselves, as Aang realizes just how unwelcome he is here, and this story continues.
